St. Patrick's Day 2026

Be ready for ALL THINGS GREEN as the Hostess City is about to turn into the Emerald Isle!

Savannah’s legendary St. Patrick’s Day Parade is returning on Tuesday, March 17, 2026! Whether you’re a local lad or a visiting lass, this is the day when everyone in Georgia finds a bit of Irish in their blood.

“Irish Season” in Savannah is a marathon, not a sprint. Here is everything you need to know to celebrate like a pro:

PRE-PARADE EVENTS

There is plenty of events and activities across the area to get you into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit! Get ready to have some good ol’ fashioned shenanigans at the following places:

SAVANNAH PARADE ROUTE

The parade will kick off at exactly  10:15 AM at the intersection of Gwinnett and Abercorn Streets, right after the conclusion of the morning Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. From there, it winds through the Downtown and Historic Districts. You’ll find viewing locations along Abercorn, Broughton, Broad Bay and Bull Streets.

Viewing from the city square is ideal. If you want a prime spot in the squares, you’ll need to join the “Land Rush.” You can start staking your claim as early as 6:00 AM!

WHERE SHOULD YOU PARK?

Finding parking in Downtown Savannah can be a we bit challenging especially on parade day! The last thing you want to see on your windshield is a parking tickets from the Savannah Traffic Control Department.

** DO NOT PARK ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE – YOU WILL GET TOWED **

Parking Garages will fill up fast! CLICK HERE to locate the city garage nearest your viewing location. Usually the city will offer pre-paid parking to reserve a spot. We highly suggest it!
